Signet keeps signing orderly by emailing invitation links (not PDFs) while a package is incomplete, requiring the document code to unwrap encrypted content, then delivering the completed package only after required recipients have signed.
No unsigned PDF confusion
Browser PDF tools can sign a file, but they usually require sending the PDF itself to each person. Email should be treated as readable transport, so every PDF attachment becomes another uncontrolled copy.
Signing links only
During signing, each participant receives a controlled invitation link rather than the document. The link starts a session; the document code (shared out of band) unwraps the encrypted master for that request. One managed workflow until all assigned signatures are complete—no unfinished PDF attachments in email.
One master copy
Signers can work on their own copy in the browser, but saves are committed back to the master copy in sequence. Simultaneous saves are ordered so one signer cannot overwrite another signer.
Final delivery, then purge
Only after every required signer has completed does Signet deliver the locked, completed PDF to all participants. The temporary signing copy is then purged immediately or at the configured TTL.
User-held PDF lock
For password-locked PDFs, the lock password belongs to the sender and signers only. Signers enter it on the signing page so Signet can unlock, update, and relock the master PDF for that request. Signet never stores or emails the password.
